The former Education Minister, Obiageli Ezekwesili, said she has referred the suspension case of Kunle Adebajo, a 500-level law student of the University of Ibadan to the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Mrs. Ezekwesili made this known to the Conscience Post during the weekend at the Yaba market at the Red Card Movement campaign to challenge the spate of killings and other issues in the country.
”I have referred his case to the NUC,” she said reacting to the enquiry by the Conscience Post.
Kunle was billed to attend the mandatory one-year Law School when he was pronounced suspended for an article published by The Guardian Newspaper since 2016 bothering on what Kunle tagged wasteful spendings by the Prof. Idowu Olayinka-led administration.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Idowu Olayinka has been quoted saying Kunle could appeal the suspension, that it was an internal issue, but findings by the Conscience Post revealed that an appeal process in the University could be longer, and frustrating.
