In this attached audio evidence, it was revealed that the main target at the Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC) was the erstwhile President of the Students’ Union, University of Ibadan, who was suspended for four semesters by Prof. Idowu  Olayika  because he  led a protest that asked for students’ Identity  card Prof. Olayinka Idowu-led  administration has failed to produce after collecting money for such. This would be used against Prof. Olayinka Idowu, the vice chancellor of the university of Ibadan  and others in due time.

The Transcript of the audio:

The witness:  we are still waiting for them to invite us.

Kayode Bello: I don’t understand, central SDC?

The witness: We faced jointly committed offences committee for jointly committed offences, it is not that it is a regular stuff,  so about  200 or more.

Kayode Bello: Of you?

Witness: yes. 150 something. I can’t remember the exact figure. They said they would tell us what is next. Even since we have not heard from them.

Kayode Bello: And they were calling you one by one?

Witness: In twenties.

Kayode Bell: Okay.

Witness: Yes.

Kayode: The case has been on since last year?

Witness: Yes, since last year. March or May. No it was in May because the protest was on May 29.

The revelation: By 3 minutes, 05 seconds of the conversation:

The witness:  The  Committee of the Hall Chairpersons, and  Faculty Presidents met the Vice Chancellor  and  from  what the  Vice Chancellor said, he said he did not  have  anything  to do  with us,  and that we will  most  likely  be  discharged and  acquitted . He told them that  when they  went to pay him a courtesy visit, the main people he had  issues  with are the  executives so… especially the President

The President referred to here is Ojo Aderemi that Prof. Idowu Olayinka has eventually suspended. The audio’s date is 2018-12-20, 12 minutes, and 25 seconds. Ojo Aderemi was suspended in April, 2019. Abimbola Adelakun of the Punch Newspapers  has vehemently in clear terms  condemned the action  of the Vice Chancellor in her Punch’s article that how would Prof.Olayinka fail to provide what the students paid for yet suspend the Students’ Union president and others but Sunday Saanu has  written a rejoinder so watery that it is very hard to know he wrote one. Must Saanu write as a yes-boy. Yes, he must because if he does not  write as the University’s lick spittle he and his household would  go hungry, starving almost  to death apparently.

Note: This is not just about Ojo Aderemi, but about all of us, as victims too in the words of Asa, the Sonorous singer.
