Justice John Tsoho, Acting Chief Judge, FHC.

* Nigerian Law School still disobeys Court’s order

As at the Press time, and since August 30th, 2019, that Mr. Kayode Bello asked the Acting Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court, to transfer the case (Kayode Bello V. Council of Legal Education and Inspector General of Poice: FHC/ ABJ/CS/717/2017) to Honourable Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court (FHC), the Acting Chief Judge has not done so.

The case is now before Justice Maha, of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja.

Mr. Bello premised his request on the fact that Hon. Justice Maha of the Federal High Court in DSS V. Sowore Omoyele on August 28th, 2019 transferred the case to Hon. Justice Taiwo Taiwo who gave an order for the detention of Omoyele Sowore for 45 days, though extendible for another 45 days according to the Judge that granted the initial 45 days.

It would be recalled that Justice Dimgba gave an order in 2017 permitting Kayode Bello, an activist, to write his bar final examination at the Nigerian Law School, an order disobeyed by the Nigerian Law School under the directorship of Mr. Olanrewaju Onadeko and Issa Ayyattou Ciroma as the Directors-General of the Nigerian Law School.
